UK BUYER GUIDE · UPDATED AUGUST 2026

Best VEIN Server Hosting 2026

We checked 30 managed VEIN hosts and ranked the server you can actually run, not the cheapest number in an advert. VEIN needs at least 8GB RAM just to start, so any 4GB, 6GB or 7GB teaser plan is excluded from our real price comparison.

VEIN needs at least 8GB RAM just to start

The official dedicated-server documentation says VEIN requires at least 8GB RAM to start. On Windows Server 2019, the server can use about 8GB with zero clients connected, and usage rises with players and settings. A 4GB, 6GB or 7GB starter package therefore does not count as a viable VEIN price in our ranking.

Do not buy VEIN hosting because the page says “one-click mods”

VEIN does not currently have native Steam Workshop support. Several hosts reuse generic mod-support marketing on their VEIN pages, but that is not a meaningful advantage today. We rank full file access, configuration editing, backups and safe update handling much higher.

Four things matter more than the headline price

Real RAM8GB is the floor. 10-12GB is healthier for a persistent small group.
CPU speedWorld simulation and AI reward strong single-thread performance.
UK/EU latencyLondon first, then Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt and nearby Europe.
RecoveryBackups and file access matter during active Early Access updates.

30 VEIN server hosts compared

GBP is primary. Non-GBP prices use approximate 31 August 2026 conversion for comparison. We do not rank on temporary first-month discounts unless clearly labelled.

Kinetic Hosting

Best overall, exact 8GB and London
£5.90/mo
$7.99 for 8GB
8GB exactLondonRyzen 9950XNVMe7-day refund

VEIN needs at least 8GB just to start, and Kinetic sells an exact 8GB plan for $7.99 instead of hiding the resource behind a slot count. That plan includes NVMe, up to a Ryzen 9 9950X at 5.7GHz and eight CPU threads. The London location publishes 7950X, 9950X and EPYC 4564P hardware with DDR5 and NVMe, so UK buyers can verify both latency and the machine class before ordering.

What to watch: Ignore the cheaper 4GB plan for this game because it is below VEIN's official startup requirement. The 8GB tier is viable for a small group, but a persistent world with more players should move to 10GB or 12GB for breathing room.

Pros
  • ✓ 8GB exact
  • ✓ London
  • ✓ Ryzen 9950X
  • ✓ NVMe
Cons
  • ✗ Ignore the cheaper 4GB plan for this game because it is below VEIN's official startup requirement
  • ✗ Verify current checkout details before purchasing

£9.59/mo
$12.99 for 12GB
12GBRyzen 9950XUnlimited playersNVMeDDoS

GhostCap starts at 12GB for $12.99, which leaves four gigabytes of headroom above VEIN's hard floor. It pairs that with Ryzen 9950X processors, NVMe, unlimited players and a clear upgrade ladder through 14GB, 16GB, 18GB and beyond. For a world you expect to keep for months, that is one of the best combinations of price, capacity and hardware transparency we found.

What to watch: The current VEIN material does not give us the same confirmed London option Kinetic does, so a UK group should check the available European region before ordering. The server itself is a stronger resource package than most slot-only competitors.

Pros
  • ✓ 12GB
  • ✓ Ryzen 9950X
  • ✓ Unlimited players
  • ✓ NVMe

  • ✗ The current VEIN material does not give us the same confirmed London option Kinetic does, so a UK group should check the available European region before ordering

DoomHosting's regular 8GB VEIN plan is 80 SEK per month, with an even lower first-month promotion during our research. It states the memory clearly and also lists Ryzen 9-class hardware, unlimited players, DDoS protection and free backups. That makes it a genuine low-cost server rather than a cheap slot advert with unknown resources.

What to watch: Eight gigabytes is the floor, not generous headroom. DoomHosting has Sweden, Germany, Norway and Finland rather than a London node, so Kinetic remains the cleaner UK choice. For a small price-sensitive group, though, this is outstanding value.

Pros

Uncapped RAM4 players $9.992-day free trial7-day refundEU

Indifferent Broccoli prices VEIN by player count and explicitly says RAM is uncapped. The headline $5.99 package is only one player, so we use the $9.99 four-player tier as a sensible small-group comparison. Six players cost $12.99 and the ladder runs up to 32 players. You also get a two-day trial without a credit card, full file access, human support and a seven-day refund policy.

What to watch: The European location is useful but not a dedicated London VEIN node. Its player-based model is excellent if you do not want to think about RAM ceilings, but the $5.99 marketing number should not be mistaken for a normal friend-group price.

Pros
  • ✓ Uncapped RAM
  • ✓ 4 players $9.99
  • ✓ 2-day free trial
  • ✓ 7-day refund
Cons
  • ✗ The European location is useful but not a dedicated London VEIN node

LOW.MS includes 10GB of memory for VEIN as standard, putting it safely above the game's 8GB startup floor. Its platform adds high-clock hardware, NVMe, London availability, migration help and a strong cloud-backup system. This page deliberately uses our new LOW.MS shortcode, so the price should update from their API instead of being hard-coded.

What to watch: The public USD catalogue showed $16.20 during this research pass. Preview the WordPress page before publishing: if the shortcode renders £16.20, the backend snippet is still receiving the USD value and we need to fix the GBP API request, not this page.

Pros
  • ✓ 10GB included

Cons
  • ✗ The public USD catalogue showed $16.20 during this research pass

Supercraft

Supercraft sells simple player-count plans with uncapped RAM. Its middle VEIN plan is $9.99 monthly and covers a normal small group, while all plans include NVMe, snapshots, DDoS protection and a managed panel. That avoids the main resource-floor problem that hurts many cheap slot hosts.

What to watch: Its public VEIN pages have shown slightly different small-plan player limits in different crawls, so verify the exact current limit at checkout. The underlying AMD EPYC hardware is capable, but high-clock Ryzen nodes are more compelling for a simulation-heavy survival server.

Pros
  • ✓ Uncapped RAM

4NetPlayers is extraordinarily cheap on the surface: 10 VEIN slots cost £5.10 per month including tax, with London available. NVMe, automatic backups, FTP access, automatic updates and free location changes are part of the platform. For a UK buyer the native GBP billing and London node are both excellent.

What to watch: The missing RAM figure is why it sits below transparent resource hosts. VEIN can use around 8GB before anyone joins, so we will not assume a 10-slot plan has enough memory just because the brand is established. If support confirms 8GB or more, this becomes one of the strongest value options here.

Pros
  • ✓ 10 slots

Cons
  • ✗ The missing RAM figure is why it sits below transparent resource hosts

The VEIN page specifies TCAdmin, full FTP, backup and restore, a configuration editor, custom command lines, 4GHz+ processors and NVMe. London, Stockholm and Frankfurt are all available, which makes it a very attractive UK/EU network.

What to watch: RAM is not stated on the public VEIN plan. That single omission prevents a top-five ranking because the game has an unusually clear 8GB minimum. If checkout or support confirms at least 8GB, LogicServers is cheap enough to move up significantly.

GTX Gaming lists a VEIN dedicated server from £10.50 per month and has a mature international network including London and nearby European cities. Across its game platform it provides offsite backups, DDoS protection, 24/7 support and a long history of running dedicated game servers.

What to watch: The storefront gives a real price but not a clean VEIN-specific RAM allocation at that price. For this game we rank what can be verified, not what we assume from a large brand. That keeps GTX below smaller hosts that publish the exact memory the process receives.

Pros
  • ✓ £10.50

Cons
  • ✗ The storefront gives a real price but not a clean VEIN-specific RAM allocation at that price

What to watch: The current public catalogue does not expose enough VEIN-specific RAM detail beside the £10.50 package. Until we can verify the memory allocation against the official 8GB floor, it cannot outrank hosts that publish both price and resources.

Loafhosts produced one of the best VEIN technical guides we found. It correctly calls out the 8GB floor, SteamCMD App ID 2131400, current lack of native Workshop support, save paths, startup settings and backup practices. Custom servers use Ryzen 9 7950X3D hardware, DDR5 and NVMe with RAM, CPU and storage sized independently.

What to watch: The $8.25 headline is a generic custom-server starting point, not the cost of a fully configured 8GB VEIN server. You need to raise the resources to the game's real requirement, so the final price is higher. Frankfurt is its current European option rather than London.

Pros

What to watch: The page lists Central Europe rather than London and does not disclose the RAM behind the slot plan. It is a legitimate established host, but VEIN rewards providers that show how much memory you are actually buying.

Pros
  • ✓ 8 slots

What to watch: The 14-slot minimum is larger than many private groups need, and the public offer does not reveal the underlying RAM. At more than twice Kinetic's 8GB price, the brand strength is not enough to overcome weaker resource transparency.

Pros
  • ✓ 14 slots

Citadel clearly supports VEIN and has substantial game-specific documentation covering admins, passwords, server names and the large set of configurable variables. Full FTP and panel-based configuration are useful for a game with a deep settings surface.

What to watch: The current public product crawl does not expose a clean current package price or RAM allocation. The official VEIN wiki previously listed a $10.83 minimum, but that entry is old enough that we do not present it as today's checkout price. Good tooling, weak current price transparency.

Pros
  • ✓ Config editor
  • ✓ FTP
  • ✓ Global locations

Cons
  • ✗ The current public product crawl does not expose a clean current package price or RAM allocation

Vultrex Hosting

Amsterdam EU option
£10.07/mo
€11.75 starting price
Amsterdam€11.75NVMePterodactylBackups

Vultrex lists VEIN from €11.75 and hosts its European game servers in Amsterdam, a sensible low-latency fallback for UK groups. The platform uses Pterodactyl, fast storage and backup tooling, with newer Ryzen-class premium hardware available across its services.

What to watch: The public VEIN landing page does not disclose the exact RAM included at the starting price. It is a reasonable European alternative, but it cannot outrank hosts that show the memory allocation directly.

Pros
  • ✓ Amsterdam
  • ✓ €11.75
  • ✓ NVMe
  • ✓ Pterodactyl
Cons
  • ✗ The public VEIN landing page does not disclose the exact RAM included at the starting price

GG Host

Exact price and no slot cap
£13.12/mo
$17.76, no slot limit
No slot limitM.2 NVMeSFTPAuto updates

GG Host lists a current VEIN server from $17.76 per month with no slot limit, M.2 NVMe, automatic updates and FTP/SFTP access. That is a cleaner product presentation than many hosts that only expose a generic catalogue tile.

What to watch: The public product still does not state the RAM allocation beside that price. At nearly eighteen dollars, we would expect enough memory, but this ranking does not award points for assumptions. The no-slot model is attractive for growing communities, but resource transparency needs improvement.

Pros
  • ✓ No slot limit
  • ✓ M.2 NVMe
  • ✓ SFTP
  • ✓ Auto updates
Cons
  • ✗ The public product still does not state the RAM allocation beside that price

Game Host Bros

Excellent specs, premium price
£17.72/mo
$23.99 for 12GB
12GBRyzen 9950XLondon networkHourly backups7-day refund

Game Host Bros is technically one of the strongest products here. Its starter VEIN plan gives 12GB on Ryzen 9 9950X hardware with NVMe, strong CPU allocation and automatic save backups. The panel and documentation expose a huge amount of VEIN-specific configuration, file management and version control.

What to watch: It ranks this low because $23.99 for 12GB is almost twice GhostCap's 12GB price. London exists in the network but stock can vary. If price is secondary and you want a polished game-aware platform, the service can still be a better personal fit than the raw rank suggests.

Pros
  • ✓ 12GB
  • ✓ Ryzen 9950X
  • ✓ London network
  • ✓ Hourly backups
Cons
  • ✗ It ranks this low because $23.99 for 12GB is almost twice GhostCap's 12GB price

Host Havoc

Premium infrastructure, expensive floor
£22.15/mo
$30 for 20 slots
20 slotsLondonOwn hardwareNVMeFast support

Host Havoc owns and operates its hardware, with Xeon and Ryzen CPUs, DDR4 or DDR5, NVMe and up to 10Gbps uplinks. VEIN locations include London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Its modified TCAdmin panel includes files, logs, backups and easy restores, and the company claims average ticket replies below ten minutes.

What to watch: The minimum is the problem: 20 slots for $30 per month. That is overkill for a normal four-to-eight-person group. It becomes more sensible for a public community that values owned infrastructure and fast support, but not for ordinary private co-op.

Pros
  • ✓ 20 slots
  • ✓ London
  • ✓ Own hardware
  • ✓ NVMe
Cons
  • ✗ The minimum is the problem: 20 slots for $30 per month

PingPerfect has a live VEIN product with instant setup, global locations, backups, DDoS protection, game switching and a free trial. It is a long-running managed host with a large knowledge base and a familiar conventional game panel.

What to watch: The current public VEIN page does not surface a clean monthly package total or exact RAM figure in our crawl. We also do not rank on one-time discount codes. Until those resources are clearer, it stays below hosts we can compare directly.

Pros
  • ✓ Free trial

Survival Servers

Excellent backup depth
Dynamic slot price
Current checkout is dynamic
High single-thread CPUNVMe5 days backupsEUFTP

Survival Servers has a strong VEIN stack: high single-thread Intel or AMD CPUs, NVMe, DDoS protection, full FTP and five days of database backups at 30-minute increments. Germany and France are available for European groups, and the custom panel covers restarts, admins and launch parameters.

What to watch: The small-server monthly total and exact RAM are not cleanly exposed in the current public crawl. The page also advertises generic Workshop tools even though VEIN does not currently have native Steam Workshop support, so we do not count that as a game-specific advantage.

Pros
  • ✓ High single-thread CPU
  • ✓ NVMe
  • ✓ 5 days backups
  • ✓ EU
Cons

BisectHosting

Polished panel and support

Price hidden in current crawl
21 locationsNVMeConfig editor24/7 supportGame swap

BisectHosting's VEIN product includes DDoS protection, instant setup, automatic updates, a built-in config editor, NVMe, game swapping and 21 locations. Its management experience is one of the most beginner-friendly in the market and support is available around the clock.

What to watch: The live page renders its price dynamically, so our crawl cannot recover an exact current 8GB or 12GB total. That is the only reason such a large provider sits this low. Once we have machine-readable resource pricing, the rank can move significantly.

Pros
  • ✓ 21 locations
  • ✓ NVMe

Nodecraft

Best wake-and-play concept
£15.40/mo
$20.86 first month for 10GB Lite, then $29.80
10GBWake & PlayFree trialCloud backupsRyzen/EPYC

Nodecraft's Lite VEIN server hibernates when unused and can be woken through a share link, a clever model for groups that only play a few evenings per week. The entry package has 10GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 9 or EPYC hardware, SSD storage, DDoS protection and the full Nodecraft panel. A free trial is available.

What to watch: The price is high: $20.86 for the first month, then $29.80. A true 24/7 Pro server costs even more. Nodecraft makes sense if Wake & Play itself solves a problem for your group, not if you simply want a cheap persistent world.

Pros
  • ✓ 10GB
  • ✓ Wake & Play

  • ✓ Cloud backups
Cons
  • ✗ The price is high: $20.86 for the first month, then $29.80

PingPlayers

Good hardware, bad sizing advice
£19.88/mo
$26.92 for first viable 10GB plan
10GB viableDDR5NVMeHigh-frequency CPU24h refund

PingPlayers has high-frequency CPUs, DDR5, NVMe, DDoS protection, backups and a clean modern panel. Its public VEIN ladder offers 7GB, 10GB and 14GB plans with a 24-hour money-back guarantee.

What to watch: Its own page recommends 7GB for a small group, which conflicts with the official VEIN documentation saying the server requires at least 8GB to start. We therefore ignore the cheaper 7GB tier and treat the $26.92 10GB package as the first viable plan, making the value poor.

Pros
  • ✓ 10GB viable
  • ✓ DDR5
  • ✓ NVMe
  • ✓ High-frequency CPU
Cons
  • ✗ Its own page recommends 7GB for a small group, which conflicts with the official VEIN documentation saying the server requires at least 8GB to start

Deranged Hosting

Solid managed basics
£12.98/mo

Deranged Hosting lists a real VEIN product from $17.58 with NVMe, DDoS protection, migration help and a panel for files, logs, configuration and restarts. It covers the practical basics and gives admins enough access to recover from bad updates or move an existing save.

What to watch: The public page is light on the exact RAM and CPU behind that starting package. At this price, missing resource detail matters. It is a valid host, but not one we can rank aggressively without a clearer spec sheet.

Pros
  • ✓ NVMe
  • ✓ DDoS
  • ✓ Migration

  • ✗ The public page is light on the exact RAM and CPU behind that starting package

ChicagoServers

Good community tools, bad UK fit
$1.25/slot
Chicago-only service
ChicagoWipesBackupsGroup pay7-day refund

ChicagoServers is unusually strong on community management, with automated wipes, backups, sub-users, group payment, game switching and VEIN-specific configuration guides. Pricing is $1.25 per slot and the service activates instantly.

What to watch: For a UK comparison, geography kills the ranking. The servers are Chicago-based, so British players would accept transatlantic latency while London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt alternatives exist. Generic mod marketing is also less useful because VEIN currently lacks native Workshop support.

Pros
  • ✓ Chicago

XGamingServer

Strong Ryzen hardware, expensive
£18.09/mo
$24.50 promo for 12GB, renews $35
12GBRyzen 7950XDDR5NVMeUnlimited slots

XGamingServer's VEIN entry package is technically strong: Ryzen 9 7950X, 12GB guaranteed DDR5, four high-performance logical cores, 80GB NVMe and unlimited slots. Larger tiers move to 16GB and 24GB with more CPU.

What to watch: The current 12GB price is a $24.50 promotion and renews at $35. GhostCap sells 12GB on a 9950X for $12.99, so the value gap is too large to ignore. Capable server, difficult price.

Pros
  • ✓ 12GB
  • ✓ Ryzen 7950X

ZAP-Hosting has a real VEIN product page with DDoS protection, FTP, web configuration, backups and free game switching. The underlying platform is established and the product is not merely a coming-soon listing.

What to watch: Its VEIN page currently renders $0.00 per month, clearly a placeholder or broken price. We will not call zero a bargain or invent the actual checkout cost. Until ZAP exposes a usable price and RAM allocation, it stays near the bottom.

Vexium Hosting

Serious App ID documentation error
Not ranked on price
VEIN product exists
8GB+ recommendedVEIN docsApp ID error

Vexium has a VEIN product and correctly recommends 8GB or more in its documentation. The problem is a serious setup error: its getting-started guide tells customers to use App ID 1857950 as the server ID, while the official VEIN dedicated server uses SteamCMD App ID 2131400. App ID 1857950 is the main game.

What to watch: A wrong App ID in a basic setup guide does not prove the hardware is bad, but it reduces confidence in the game-specific support layer. Until the documentation is corrected and pricing/resources are clearer, Vexium sits last.

Pros
  • ✓ 8GB+ recommended
  • ✓ VEIN docs
  • ✓ App ID error
Cons
  • ✗ A wrong App ID in a basic setup guide does not prove the hardware is bad, but it reduces confidence in the game-specific support layer

How much RAM does a VEIN server actually need?

The only hard number we treat as official is the 8GB startup floor. Higher tiers below are our practical buying recommendations based on the official warning that memory rises with players and settings.

Server typePlayersRAMOur take
Absolute minimum1-38GBWorks as the floor, upgrade easily
Small private group2-610-12GBBest balance for most groups
Active persistent world6-1212-16GBSafer long-term headroom
Large community12+16GB+Scale from actual usage
CPU recommendation:

Prefer published high-clock Ryzen 7950X, 9950X, 7950X3D or similarly strong modern CPUs where possible. VEIN continuously simulates zombies, world systems, bases and multiplayer state, so exact CPU disclosure is more useful than vague “enterprise hardware” copy.

Best VEIN host for your group

Best overall: Kinetic Hosting

Exact 8GB from $7.99, London, Ryzen 9950X-class hardware and clear upgrades.

Best 12GB value: GhostCap

$12.99 for 12GB on Ryzen 9950X hardware.

Cheapest transparent EU 8GB: DoomHosting

80 SEK regular with Ryzen 9-class hardware.

Best free trial: Indifferent Broccoli

Two days without a card, player pricing and uncapped RAM.

Best cheap native GBP slot plan: 4NetPlayers

£5.10 for 10 slots and London, but ask them to confirm RAM.

LOW.MS live price test

£16.20/mo through the new API shortcode, with 10GB included.

Best premium infrastructure: Host Havoc

Owned hardware, London and strong support, but a $30 minimum.

Best technical docs: Loafhosts

Its VEIN documentation correctly handles RAM, SteamCMD and current mod limitations.

Can you self-host VEIN instead?

Yes. The dedicated server is installed through SteamCMD using App ID 2131400. You need a 64-bit OS, at least 8GB RAM available to the server process, suitable storage and the required ports open. Self-hosting can be free if you already own the hardware, but patching, backups, uptime, networking and recovery all become your job.

App ID trap:

VEIN itself is Steam App ID 1857950. The dedicated server is App ID 2131400. We found a live hosting guide in this market using the game ID where the dedicated-server ID belongs, which is why we check technical documentation instead of trusting provider copy blindly.

VEIN server hosting questions

How much RAM does a VEIN dedicated server need?

At least 8GB just to start. The official guide says a Windows Server 2019 instance can use around 8GB with zero clients, and usage rises with players and settings. We prefer 10-12GB for a normal small private group.

Is a 4GB, 6GB or 7GB VEIN plan enough?

No. We do not count sub-8GB plans as viable VEIN hosting even if a provider advertises one for the game.

What is the cheapest host we would actually buy?

Kinetic is the clearest cheap choice because $7.99 explicitly buys 8GB. 4NetPlayers is cheaper at £5.10 for 10 slots, but it does not publish the VEIN RAM allocation.

Does VEIN support Steam Workshop mods?

Not natively at the time of this update. Full file access, configuration tools and backups matter more than generic one-click mod marketing today.

Which location is best for UK players?

London first. Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt and nearby northern European locations are good fallbacks.

What SteamCMD App ID does the VEIN dedicated server use?

2131400. The main game is 1857950, so do not confuse the two.

Our current pick: Kinetic Hosting

8GB from about £5.90/month, London and high-clock Ryzen hardware.
