How we compared FiveM server hosts

We compared each host’s live FiveM product on what matters for a roleplay community: CPU and memory for a growing resource list, a London or nearby EU location, txAdmin and database access, backups and price. Prices come from each host’s public plan page, converted at £1 = $1.33. Our full process is on the how we compare game server hosts page.

FiveM for GTAV Enhanced is in Early Access

FiveM for GTAV Enhanced entered Early Access on 21 July 2026. Legacy GTA V carries on alongside it, while Enhanced uses a separate client and an updated Cfx server stack with a redesigned connection handshake, new server-side monitoring, a modern .NET runtime for C# and a rebuilt voice system.

Existing Lua, JavaScript and C# resources are meant to stay compatible, but paid scripts, vehicles and MLOs still need testing, and older 3D assets may need converting with Cfx’s Alchemist tool. Clone your live server and test the whole stack before moving a mature community.

• 15 October 2026: players can no longer join FXServer builds older than 35245. The client now always runs the latest GTA V executable and loads the content your server asks for via sv_enforceGameBuild, so sv_replaceExeToSwitchBuilds can come out of your config.
• 21 October 2026: your server’s name, description, tags, language, banner and Discord link are managed in the Cfx Portal rather than server.cfg. You get up to five tags, and a server with nothing filled in shows “Missing server data” in the list.

Why some familiar hosts are not in the table

We list only hosts that sell FiveM today. LOW.MS’s FiveM page says the product is coming soon, with pricing announced at launch, and ScalaCube’s FiveM page is also marked Coming Soon. Host Havoc, GGServers, BisectHosting, Apex Hosting and DatHost do not currently list FiveM among their games, and AleForge has FiveM help articles but no FiveM product. We will add them when they launch FiveM servers.

What FiveM’s own hosting list tells you

FiveM’s server hosting page currently lists GPORTAL, Shockbyte, Nitrado, Nodecraft, xREALM and ZAP-Hosting. The list relates to Cfx’s commercial rules for businesses that sell preconfigured FiveM servers, and it can change, so check the current version before signing a long contract.

The server software is the same Cfx stack wherever you host it. What changes between hosts is the CPU, how busy each machine is, memory, network and DDoS filtering, storage, location, database setup, panel tools, backups and support.

Cfx Portal keys, Element Club and slot limits

Server registration keys are free and come from the Cfx Portal; add yours to server.cfg with sv_licenseKey. Older guides that send you to Keymaster or Patreon are out of date. The default allowance is 48 players with OneSync, and Element Club raises it. Hosting and Element Club are separate bills.

ESX, QBCore, Qbox or vMenu?

Your framework sets the player data model, the economy and much of the script ecosystem, and changing it after launch can mean database migrations, so decide early.

txAdmin is the management layer every owner should know

txAdmin is Cfx’s browser-based admin panel for FiveM, and it ships with the server. It is separate from your host’s panel: the host panel manages files, billing and the machine, while txAdmin runs the FiveM process and its players.

FiveM hardware by community size

FiveM leans on the server thread and script ticks, so a modern high-clock CPU matters as much as memory. Treat these as practical allowances, not official minimums.

More RAM will not fix bad Lua loops or needless database calls, so profile your resources before upgrading. Our game server hardware requirements guide explains what CPU, RAM and storage each do.

A sensible server.cfg starting point and the ports FiveM uses

Start from the server.cfg your current build or txAdmin recipe creates rather than an old tutorial. The core lines are the TCP and UDP endpoints on 0.0.0.0:30120, sv_licenseKey with your Portal key, sv_maxclients (48 by default), set onesync on, ensure oxmysql and then your framework and resources, with libraries such as ox_lib loaded before the resources that need them. Server name, description and tags now live in the Cfx Portal.

• 30120 TCP and UDP: the game endpoint. Managed hosts set this up; on a VPS you open it in both firewalls.
• 40120 TCP: the usual txAdmin web port. Lock admin access down.
• 3306 TCP: the usual MariaDB or MySQL port. Never leave a production database open to the internet.

DDoS protection, your database and backups

FiveM monetisation goes through Tebex

Cfx names Tebex as its exclusive authorised monetisation partner for FiveM and RedM, and using another payment platform breaks the Platform License Agreement. Your store still has to follow the current Cfx and Tebex rules. Keep the three costs separate: hosting pays for the machine, Element Club changes your slot limits and Tebex is the store.

Self-hosting vs renting a FiveM server

The FXServer software is free, so experienced admins can run FiveM on their own Windows or Linux machine. A VPS is a different product from managed FiveM hosting, though.

A managed host installs FXServer and txAdmin, handles networking and supplies a panel. Hostinger can provide a UK VPS with root access, but you set up FXServer, txAdmin, the database, firewall rules, restarts and backups yourself.
