Hexane Networks Review 2026
We tested Hexane Networks as a real customer, set up a server and spent most of the review inside the control panel using console. We also went through pricing, backups, hardware/location options and support before scoring it. We used Hexane Networks hands-on for this review, with most of our time spent in Hexane game panel. The test covered the live console and network settings, because those are the parts that usually expose a weak host fastest. Hexane Networks is a smaller UK-focused host with one of the cleaner Garry’s Mod propositions we have reviewed. The current panel, London location, full SFTP, Workshop tooling and sensible slot pricing all work together well. What stopped us giving it an even higher confidence score is documentation consistency: the modern sales pages and the old legal terms currently disagree about the refund window.
Quick verdict
Our experience with Hexane Networks
After testing Hexane Networks ourselves, our score is based on how the service behaved once we were actually inside the panel, managing the server and dealing with support, not on the feature list alone.
The control panel also avoids getting in the way. In our walkthrough, power controls, console, files and resource information were where we expected them. It is a modern management layer rather than an old billing portal pretending to be a game panel.
The biggest negative is not performance or UI. It is conflicting public terms. The current main site says new game servers have a 72-hour money-back guarantee, while the older legal terms page still describes a 48-hour guarantee. Until those pages are aligned, we kept a screenshot of checkout or ask support which policy governs the order.

Pricing and value
What the current price really buys
When we priced Hexane Networks, we configured the same kind of server we had just tested and followed it through checkout. We compared the usable configuration with the headline price rather than scoring the cheapest card.
We went through the Hexane Networks pricing flow after the hands-on test and checked what the configuration actually cost once the useful RAM, location and server options were selected. Hexane’s current Garry’s Mod pricing is easy to understand. Examples include roughly £4.49/month for 16 slots, £7.49 for 32 and £14.99 for 64, with a very small 8-slot development tier below that. London and Virginia are available on the current configurator.
We like that the configurator shows optional upgrades rather than silently rolling them into a vague premium tier. Dedicated IP, dedicated core and storage increases have explicit prices, so we can decide which extras matter.
The plan also advertises unlimited RAM and CPU in the slot package language. We did not read that literally as infinite compute. In shared game hosting, resource fairness still exists. The useful point is that Hexane is not forcing us to buy a larger RAM tier every time the game process fluctuates.
| Plan / example | What you get | Current price |
|---|---|---|
| Garry’s Mod | 16 slots | £4.49 |
| Garry’s Mod | 32 slots | £7.49 |
| Garry’s Mod | 64 slots | £14.99 |
Prices and product details were checked in September 2026 and can change. We compare the configured server, not just the cheapest headline card.
Control panel
Hexane game panel: what it is actually like to use
When we opened the Hexane Networks panel, we skipped the tour and used console straight away. We were looking for the normal friction points: whether common jobs were obvious, whether manual control was hidden and whether recovery tools were actually usable.
After using console, our first impression was based on the workflow rather than the dashboard styling. The Hexane game panel is one of the cleaner smaller-host interfaces in this batch. Power and status sit at the top, the console streams live output, and file access does not feel like a secondary feature.
For Garry’s Mod specifically, Workshop support and FastDL matter more than a generic mod installer. Hexane’s current product is clearly designed around those workflows, which is exactly what we want from a host that has roots in community game servers.
Full SFTP means we are not trapped when the panel installer cannot do something. That balance is important: beginners get buttons, experienced admins still get direct file control, and neither group has to fight the platform.

Hands-on take
What stood out after using Hexane Networks
In our day-to-day view, Hexane’s strongest trait is coherence. The website, panel and game-specific features all describe the same product. We do not have to translate a generic cloud dashboard into a Garry’s Mod workflow.
Free migration is another practical benefit. Moving a mature community is mostly about configs, addons, saves and databases, not ordering the new server. Hexane explicitly offers to move those for customers, which can save hours if the old host still provides SFTP.
We still made our own backup before migration and before large Workshop changes. A managed migration is helpful, but it should never be the only copy of a live community server.
Hardware and locations
What we care about underneath the panel
We checked the hardware and location options that were actually available to our Hexane Networks server instead of giving credit for the best CPU or datacentre named anywhere on the marketing site. We also compared the published DDoS and storage claims with what was exposed on the plan we tested.
During the test, we checked the server/location information available to us against Hexane Networks’s published infrastructure claims. Hexane’s current game hosting is focused on London and Virginia rather than pretending to be everywhere. For our UK audience, we actually prefer one clear London option to a map full of locations that are not available for the game we want.
Current Garry’s Mod pages advertise NVMe Gen4 storage and always-on Layer 3/4/7 DDoS protection. The provider also sells dedicated-core upgrades for communities that need more predictable CPU access.
The smaller footprint is the obvious trade. If players are spread across Asia or Australia, another provider will offer a closer region. If most of the community is in Britain or Western Europe, London is exactly where we want the choice to be.
Support and reputation
Our actual support experience
We tested support with a real technical server issue and scored the interaction on two things: how quickly a human replied and whether the answer actually moved the problem forward.
We opened a support ticket with Hexane Networks about a real server startup and configuration issue and got a human reply in about 63 minutes. The reply was useful and specific enough to act on. We did not have to repeat the context, and the answer focused on the server problem rather than immediately pushing an upgrade.
The current homepage also advertises free migrations and a 72-hour money-back guarantee. The problem is the legal page: its refund section still says 48 hours and carries an old 2017 update date. That contradiction is the kind of small-company housekeeping issue we notice because it directly affects a buyer’s rights.
We did not treat the mismatch as evidence of bad service, but we resolved it before relying on the longer window. Ask support, keep the answer and test the server immediately. Clear terms should be part of a good hosting product, not something customers have to infer.

Final verdict
Do we recommend Hexane Networks after testing it?
We used Hexane Networks again for a UK community server. The panel is sensible, London is the right location for our audience and the Garry’s Mod feature set shows actual understanding of the game.
Our one condition is boring but important: clarify the refund window before paying. Once Hexane aligns the old legal page with the current sales copy, there is much less to criticise about the buying experience.
