Gameservers HOSTING REVIEW

Even though my first impression of GameServers site was that it was a bit more on the complicated side, after I selected the game to host and got the server up and running everything became a lot easier and understandable when I got access to the Control Panel. I didn’t install any mods or extra features since I was playing Valheim with some friends who had not played it before. Everyone loaded in easily and we had a blast! Gotta say that it was very easy to get the server up and running and start enjoying the gameplay.

We had no problems at all with the server uptime and stability except for one of my mates who got logged out a few times but I think that had more to do with his computer’s hardware than anything else. So all in all I have no complaints at all.

The server itself held a high standard and we didn’t experience any lags at all or crashes. They had tons of locations for the server to be hosted in and since we were playing from London and Sweden we choose a server in London UK but there were plenty of other options too.

The price was good but lacked choices, we could only choose a 10-player server and not bigger or smaller, we ware only 5 people playing so we would have appreciated an option for fewer players so that we did not pay for slots that we did not use. But the price was still cheap at only £11.72 a month for the server with 10 slots so it did not feel like it was too expensive for us to go with the 10-slot server.

There are a lot of mixed reviews on Trustpilot about GameServers with a score of 2.8/5 ⭐. What people are complaining about is that the service is slow and complicated when errors are spotted and takes time to resolve. However, it is hard to know for certain since the other half of the reviews are 5 stars and point at excellent and quick service. So there’s a discrepancy in the reviews and it’s hard for me to say who to trust. You will have to decide for yourself what you think but for this review, I’m going to give them a bit of a positive bias since I had a great experience but keep in mind that I did not need to contact their customer service for anything and that this might be where they lack a bit as a company. 

I would also like to add that a lot of the bad reviews tend to ask about rust servers and this is why GameServers responded to one of those reviews a while back.

While we do our best to work with the devs in trying to find a resolution to update issues, there are some issues that do take time to resolve. Game servers now have a 1.8/5 rating on Trustpilot and seeing the direction the game server hosting company is taking we have lowered the score from 3.5 ⭐ to 2.5 ⭐. The company is falling behind in technology and need to update their website and hosting software if they are gonna last, especially in the tough economy of today.
