Best RimWorld Server Hosting in 2026
RimWorld itself is still single-player. The server hosts below are selling community multiplayer implementations, primarily RimWorld Together, which keeps a shared planet online while each player runs their own colony locally. That changes everything about what hardware, slots and backups are actually worth paying for.
The four RimWorld multiplayer hosts we would shortlist first
The market is much smaller than Core Keeper or HumanitZ. LOW.MS and Indifferent Broccoli do not currently have verified live products, while Kinetic is still Coming Soon, so these rankings are allowed to be won by other providers.

Why normal game-server rankings do not work for RimWorld
The hosted process is lightweight and multiplayer comes from community software. That makes implementation quality, version matching, networking and backups more important than giant RAM figures.
RimWorld Together gives separate colonies on one shared planet. Zetrith’s Multiplayer is a different shared-game experience. We check what the host actually runs.
RimWorld Together does not simulate each colony server-side. It coordinates world state, so 2-3GB can be genuinely sufficient.
Client and server versions need to match. Required, optional and forbidden mod lists make file access and update tooling real features.
Default RimWorld Together hosting uses TCP 25555. Nearby EU routing, backups and 24/7 availability matter more than marketing huge CPU counts.
What every live RimWorld host gets right or wrong
Every live provider gets a real audit. We do not invent benchmarks, and we do not rank a Coming Soon page above something you can actually buy tonight.
Legion Hosting
Best overallLegion Hosting wins this page because its live RimWorld Together product is both cheap and unusually complete. The Silver tier is $4.69 per month at the normal rate for 3GB RAM, while the current promotion halves the first bill. Seven and twelve-gigabyte tiers are available above it, but a 3GB server is already generous for the lightweight RimWorld Together process.
The provider does not impose artificial player caps and includes FTP, a browser file manager, game switching, live console access, schedules, backups, DDoS protection and 24/7 support. RimWorld Together is network-sensitive rather than simulation-heavy because every player's colony still runs locally, so we care more about a stable nearby region and backup/version management than paying for huge RAM.
What we checked: We verified the live 3GB, 7GB and 12GB RimWorld Together tiers, separated the 50% promotion from the regular bill, and checked FTP, backups, schedules, game swapping, DDoS and mod-management features.
What it taught us: This is one of the rare games where a 3GB budget server is not a compromise. The dedicated process is intentionally light, making Legion's $4.69 tier a better default than oversized 10GB or 32GB products.
- ✓ Excellent $4.69 regular price
- ✓ 3GB is ample for most RimWorld Together groups
- ✓ No artificial slot cap
- ✓ FTP and backup tooling
- ✓ Dedicated game-specific product
- ✗ Exact London availability is not exposed clearly on the product page
- ✗ Smaller brand than Shockbyte or BisectHosting
GameServerKings
Best transparent 2GB budget planGameServerKings lists RimWorld Together from $5.40 per month in its current game catalogue, and the product configurator starts at 2GB RAM, one vCore and 20GB NVMe. That is an appropriate resource class for a small or normal RimWorld Together community because the server coordinates the shared planet rather than simulating each colony.
Daily backups, FTP/SFTP, DDoS protection, instant deployment and direct resource upgrades are included. The page is not perfect: some demo panel screenshots still contain Minecraft-style placeholder data, which we treat as a QA blemish, but the actual RimWorld product, backup and resource controls are clear enough to rank highly.
What we checked: We checked the current game-catalogue price, 2GB configurator baseline, CPU/storage allocation, backup tools, FTP/SFTP and refund wording. We also audited the product-page demo content for game-specific accuracy.
What it taught us: Transparent low memory wins on RimWorld Together. Two gigabytes is more useful evidence than a vague 'unlimited' package when the server process itself is small.
- ✓ Low $5.40 starting price
- ✓ Clear 2GB resource baseline
- ✓ Daily backups
- ✓ FTP/SFTP
- ✓ 24-hour refund
- ✗ Demo panel contains generic Minecraft placeholder content
- ✗ Exact European city should be confirmed at checkout

Shockbyte
Best established RimWorld Together specialistShockbyte is the most mature big-brand RimWorld Together host we found. Its live Outlander package costs $7.99 per month for up to 20 players, followed by 50-player and 100-player tiers. Full file access, NVMe storage, DDoS protection and managed configuration are included.
Independent current plan tracking identifies Outlander as a 2GB package, Spacer as 3GB and Archotech as 4GB, but Shockbyte's own current cart emphasises player count rather than RAM. The company also publishes current 2026 joining and configuration guides, which matters because RimWorld Together has more setup quirks than a normal SteamCMD server.
What we checked: We verified Shockbyte's live RimWorld Together cart, $7.99/$9.99/$11.99 plan ladder, file/NVMe/DDoS features and current 2026 RimWorld Together knowledge-base content. RAM figures were cross-checked against current third-party plan tracking rather than treated as first-party cart data.
What it taught us: Shockbyte costs more than the two budget leaders, but it has the strongest documentation and established managed flow. For a beginner, that support layer may be worth the extra few pounds.
- ✓ Purpose-built RimWorld Together product
- ✓ Current game-specific guides
- ✓ Full file access
- ✓ NVMe and DDoS
- ✓ Large established provider
- ✗ Official cart does not currently expose RAM
- ✗ 20-player entry is far above what most private groups need
AetherNode
Best choice of multiplayer implementationsAetherNode is interesting because it does not treat 'RimWorld multiplayer' as one thing. Its catalogue separately lists RimWorld Together and Open World, both from $8.99 per month. That is useful for players who already know which community multiplayer framework they want to use.
The public catalogue does not expose enough plan-level RAM or location detail for us to compare the $8.99 tier directly against Legion or GameServerKings. Still, the fact that AetherNode distinguishes multiplayer implementations rather than collapsing them into generic 'RimWorld server hosting' is a meaningful game-specific strength.
What we checked: We verified that the current AetherNode catalogue separately lists RimWorld Together and Open World at $8.99 starting prices with three plans each.
What it taught us: RimWorld multiplayer is an ecosystem of community mods, not one official server. A host that labels the implementation clearly reduces the chance that a buyer purchases the wrong style of multiplayer.
- ✓ RimWorld Together explicitly supported
- ✓ Open World also offered separately
- ✓ Clear $8.99 starting price
- ✓ Game-specific catalogue segmentation
- ✗ Entry RAM not exposed in public catalogue
- ✗ Exact UK/EU location choice is unclear from the product listing
MintServers
Best London high-headroom bundleMintServers charges $9.99 per month for its base RimWorld Together package and advertises unlimited player slots with a 32GB guaranteed-minimum RAM policy. London, Frankfurt and Strasbourg are among the current order locations, making it one of the clearer UK-friendly options.
That much memory is absurd overkill for RimWorld Together, so we do not pretend the specification makes it thirty times better than a 2GB server. The value comes from London, easy game swapping, instant setup and a 24-hour refund. Higher MAX and ULTRA plans add cloud backups and faster Ryzen hardware but are unnecessary for normal RimWorld use.
What we checked: We verified the $9.99 base price, advertised guaranteed-memory policy, unlimited slots, London and nearby EU locations, game switching and refund terms.
What it taught us: Huge RAM numbers can make a plan look premium without improving RimWorld Together. MintServers ranks well because the price and London location are good, not because the server needs 32GB.
- ✓ Confirmed London location
- ✓ Reasonable $9.99 price
- ✓ No artificial slots
- ✓ Game swapping
- ✓ 24-hour refund
- ✗ Massively overprovisioned for this game
- ✗ Automatic cloud backups are positioned on higher tiers rather than the base plan
Konnect Hosting
Best clear 4GB hardware packageKonnect Hosting starts RimWorld Together at $10.04 per month for 4GB RAM on Ryzen 9 5950X hardware with NVMe. It does not charge by player slots, and the platform includes server console access, SFTP, mod support, automatic restarts, backups and DDoS protection.
Helsinki is the only European deployment listed on the current page, which is perfectly usable for UK players but less ideal than London or Western Europe. Four gigabytes is also more than most private RimWorld Together groups need. The package is transparent and technically strong, just not as cheap as the leaders.
What we checked: We verified the live 4GB/8GB/12GB plan ladder, Ryzen 5950X hardware, Helsinki location, SFTP, backups, no-slot-cap wording and three-day refund.
What it taught us: Konnect is a very easy package to evaluate because the hardware is explicit. Its lower ranking comes from geography and price, not from uncertainty about what you receive.
- ✓ Transparent 4GB allocation
- ✓ Ryzen 5950X
- ✓ NVMe
- ✓ Backups and SFTP
- ✓ No artificial player limit
- ✗ No London location
- ✗ 4GB is more than many private groups need
Citadel Servers
Best native-GBP managed optionCitadel's current shopping cart lists RimWorld Together from £10.39 per month. The service includes full FTP, configuration editing, scheduled backups, NVMe storage and DDoS protection, and Citadel's network includes London along with nearby European locations.
The product is billed by slots and the public page does not disclose a clean RAM allocation, so it is less transparent than Legion, GameServerKings or Konnect. Citadel does at least maintain RimWorld Together-specific quick-start documentation rather than relying entirely on generic game-hosting copy.
What we checked: We verified the current £10.39 cart price, active RimWorld Together product, FTP/config/backups and game-specific quick-start documentation.
What it taught us: Native GBP billing and London are useful for this site, but the missing RAM figure prevents Citadel from winning a value comparison against transparent lightweight plans.
- ✓ Native GBP billing
- ✓ London network
- ✓ Full FTP
- ✓ Scheduled backups
- ✓ Game-specific documentation
- ✗ RAM allocation is not public
- ✗ True slot/resource package is less transparent than the leaders

Survival Servers
Best new survival-specialist integrationSurvival Servers added RimWorld to its managed catalogue in August 2026 and clearly explains the technical model: the hosted server is the open-source RimWorld Together process, not an official Ludeon dedicated server. The popular eight-slot plan renews at $12.95 per month, with Germany and France available.
The product includes a full config editor, location switching, full FTP, automated restarts, scheduled backups and managed server-release updates. Its documentation is among the best we found and correctly explains TCP 25555, the small server footprint and the fact that the colony simulation remains client-side.
What we checked: We verified the current 2/8/20-slot pricing, regular versus first-month promotion, Germany/France regions, config editor, backups, FTP and the provider's August 2026 technical documentation.
What it taught us: Survival Servers demonstrates what good game-page QA looks like. It ranks below cheaper hosts only because RimWorld Together is lightweight enough that a $13 bill is hard to justify for a small group.
- ✓ Excellent current technical documentation
- ✓ Full config editor
- ✓ Scheduled backups and FTP
- ✓ Managed RimWorld Together release updates
- ✓ Nearby EU regions
- ✗ No London location
- ✗ $12.95 is expensive for an eight-slot lightweight server

BisectHosting
Best polished control panelBisectHosting markets itself as an official server host for RimWorld Together and offers the game through BisectOne with 21 locations, DDoS protection, NVMe, three days of backups, game swapping and Instance Manager.
Functionally this is one of the strongest products on the page. The reason it sits ninth is purely comparison transparency: the current live configurator renders the recurring price dynamically and our crawl cannot extract a trustworthy 2GB or 4GB total. We refuse to invent one just to fill the table.
What we checked: We verified the current active RimWorld Together page, official-host wording, 21 locations, NVMe, backup retention, Instance Manager and dynamic pricing behaviour.
What it taught us: Bisect could move near the top if the checkout price is competitive. Until we can verify the bill, feature quality alone cannot beat transparent products.
- ✓ Excellent control panel
- ✓ 21 worldwide locations
- ✓ Three days of backups
- ✓ NVMe
- ✓ 24/7 support
- ✗ Exact recurring price not publicly extractable
- ✗ Resource-to-price value cannot be audited before checkout

GGServers
Cheap 2GB plan with a broken upgrade ladderGGServers starts RimWorld Together at $6 per month for 2GB RAM, followed by 3GB at $9 and 4GB at $12. For a lightweight RimWorld Together process, that 2GB entry tier is a legitimate budget option with SSD storage, DDoS protection and FTP.
The current public ladder then shows a 6GB plan at $96, which appears to be the same storefront anomaly we found on some of GGServers' other game pages. We do not treat that as normal scaling. The entry package is useful, but the upgrade path and generic marketing reduce confidence.
What we checked: We verified the 2GB, 3GB and 4GB normal prices, the anomalous 6GB display, FTP, SSD and DDoS features.
What it taught us: The cheapest tier is valid, but product-page QA matters. A nonsensical upgrade price is enough to keep GGServers below cleaner competitors.
- ✓ Only $6 for 2GB
- ✓ Transparent low-end RAM
- ✓ FTP
- ✓ DDoS protection
- ✓ European hosting available
- ✗ Current 6GB tier shows an implausible $96
- ✗ No confirmed London-specific region
ZAP-Hosting
Cheapest headline, hardest to compareZAP-Hosting advertises RimWorld Together from only $2.26 per month and also offers a lifetime server from roughly $45.49 as a one-time purchase. FTP access, DDoS protection, a web interface and game switching are part of the platform.
That headline could make ZAP look like an automatic number one, but the landing page does not map $2.26 to a clean RAM and practical player configuration. RimWorld Together is lightweight, so the cheapest configuration may indeed be enough, but we will not declare it equivalent to a verified 2GB or 3GB server without seeing the actual checkout resources.
What we checked: We verified the current $2.26 monthly headline, lifetime price, active RimWorld Together product, FTP and platform features.
What it taught us: A low headline is useful context, not a complete comparison. ZAP may be the absolute cheapest checkout, but the product is too configurable to rank above fixed-resource plans from the public page alone.
- ✓ Lowest public headline price
- ✓ Lifetime purchase option
- ✓ FTP
- ✓ DDoS protection
- ✓ Game switching
- ✗ Starting resource allocation is unclear
- ✗ Hard to compare the headline with fixed 2GB/3GB plans
Providers we checked but did not rank
| Provider | Status | Finding |
|---|---|---|
| LOW.MS | Not ranked | No active RimWorld or RimWorld Together product could be verified in the current public LOW.MS catalogue/API. |
| Indifferent Broccoli | Not ranked | No active RimWorld Together product could be verified in the current public catalogue. |
| Kinetic Hosting | Not ranked | A RimWorld Together product page exists, with preview 4GB and 12GB packages, but both are still marked Coming Soon and cannot be ordered. |
| Game Host Bros | Not ranked | A RimWorld hosting page exists with a $7.99 preview and strong hardware details, but the page explicitly says Not live yet. |
| ScalaCube | Not ranked | The RimWorld Together page is still marked Coming Soon, so it is not ranked as a purchasable host. |
| PingPlayers | Not ranked | Rimworld Together appears in the current game-switch library and knowledge base, but a dedicated product page with a clean current price was not indexed reliably enough for us to rank it. |
RimWorld Together vs RimWorld Multiplayer
Separate colonies, separate pace, one shared planet. Visit, trade, raid, create factions and interact across the world. This is what most commercial hosts currently sell.
Designed for players sharing the same synchronized RimWorld game. The current GitHub project also has a standalone server beta for RimWorld 1.6, but commercial support is much thinner.
Want your own colonies on the same planet? Together. Want to control one colony cooperatively? Multiplayer. Decide this before choosing a host.
Self-hosting RimWorld Together is unusually easy
The current official project publishes Docker/container instructions and describes the server as lightweight. There is no SteamCMD dedicated-server App ID because this is community server software, not an official RimWorld server package.
docker run -it --rm -v './RWTData:/Data' -p 25555:25555 ghcr.io/rimworld-together/rimworld-together:latest Default port: TCP 25555
RimWorld server hosting questions
What is the best RimWorld server host right now?
Legion Hosting is our current number one live RimWorld Together option. Its regular $4.69 plan includes 3GB RAM with no artificial player cap, plus backups, FTP and management tools.
Does RimWorld have official multiplayer?
No. RimWorld itself is still sold as a single-player game. Multiplayer comes from community projects such as RimWorld Together and the Multiplayer mod.
What is the difference between RimWorld Together and the Multiplayer mod?
RimWorld Together focuses on separate colonies and independent pace on one shared planet. The Multiplayer mod focuses on synchronised cooperative play in the same RimWorld game.
How much RAM does a RimWorld Together server need?
The server process is lightweight because each player's colony simulation runs locally. Around 2GB is enough for many small groups, while 3GB to 4GB gives comfortable room for more mods and players.
What port does RimWorld Together use?
The current project documentation uses TCP port 25555 by default.
Do all players need the same mods?
RimWorld Together supports required, optional and forbidden mod lists. World-affecting mods such as new factions, biomes and world events should generally be enforced so clients stay compatible.
Why is Kinetic Hosting not ranked?
Kinetic has a RimWorld Together product page with attractive preview plans, but the plans are still marked Coming Soon and are not currently orderable.
Does LOW.MS host RimWorld Together?
We could not verify a live RimWorld or RimWorld Together product in LOW.MS's current public catalogue/API, so it is not ranked.
